Quick help

What is Matobur?

Matobur is a cheerful 3D math game for children aged 5 to 10. Kids solve addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, missing-number and comparison puzzles to earn coins and stars, then use them to build and decorate their own Math Town and welcome new residents. The puzzles adapt to each child's level as they play.

Subscriptions & purchases

How do subscriptions work?

Matobur Premium is an auto-renewing subscription with weekly, monthly and yearly plans. Only a grown-up can buy it: the Premium screen opens after the parental gate.

  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase, or when the free trial ends if your plan starts with one.
  • The subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends (on Google Play: before the period ends).
  • You can cancel at any time. Premium then stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for.

How does the free trial work?

The yearly plan starts with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. You won't be charged if you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends (on Google Play: before it ends). Otherwise the yearly subscription starts automatically when the trial is over.

The trial is available once per store account, and the Premium screen only offers it when your account is eligible. Any unused part of a free trial ends when you buy a subscription.

How do I cancel?

iPhone or iPad: open Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Matobur and tap Cancel Subscription.

Android: open Google Play Store → your profile picture → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Matobur and tap Cancel subscription.

You can also get there from the app: Parent Zone → Settings → Manage subscription. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Subscriptions are managed by Apple and Google, so we can't cancel them for you.

How do I restore purchases on a new device?

Sign in with the same Apple ID or Google account you used to subscribe, then open Parent Zone → Settings → Restore purchases, or tap Restore on the Premium screen. Premium unlocks again within a few seconds.

Restoring brings back the subscription, not the town: game progress is saved separately on each device (see moving to a new device).

Can I get a refund?

Payments are handled by Apple and Google, and so are refunds. For the App Store, go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in and choose Request a refund. For Google Play, follow Google Play's refund guide. We can't see or refund payments ourselves, but we're happy to help if something went wrong.

“Waiting for approval” or “Purchases are turned off”?

If the device uses Ask to Buy (Apple Family Sharing) or Google Family Link, a purchase waits for the family organizer's approval, and Premium unlocks automatically as soon as it's approved. If in-app purchases are turned off, they can be allowed in Settings → Screen Time → Content & Privacy Restrictions on iPhone and iPad, or in Family Link on Android.

Parents & safety

What is the “Ask a grown-up” parental gate?

Before anyone can buy something, open the Parent Zone or follow a link that leaves the app, Matobur asks for a grown-up. A three-digit number is written out in words, for example “seven hundred forty-two”, and has to be typed with the number keys. There are three tries; after that, the child is asked to fetch a grown-up. Once the gate is passed it isn't shown again for about a minute, so you won't be asked twice in a row.

Where is the Parent Zone?

Tap the Me tab, then Parents, and pass the parental gate. The Parent Zone has two tabs:

  • Reports: an overview of your child's progress. Daily charts, accuracy per topic, tricky questions, game history and practice tips come with Premium.
  • Settings: subscription, language, sound effects, music, vibration and resetting progress.

Is my child's data safe?

Yes. Matobur has no accounts, no ads, no chat and no tracking, and it never asks children for personal information. The town and the answer history stay on your device. Read our Privacy Policy for the details.

Playing & progress

Does Matobur work offline?

Yes. Matobur can be played without an internet connection. A connection is only needed to buy or restore a subscription and, from time to time, to check that it's still active. Premium keeps working while you're offline.

How do I reset progress?

Open Parent Zone → Settings → Reset progress and confirm twice. This deletes the town, coins, stars, friends and reports on this device and can't be undone. Your subscription isn't affected, and settings such as the language are kept.

Can I move progress to a new device?

Matobur has no accounts or cloud sync, so progress stays on the device where it was played. It may come along when you restore a full device backup (iCloud or Google), depending on your device settings. Premium can always be restored on a new device: see restoring purchases.

Which languages does Matobur speak?

Matobur speaks 30 languages, including English, Türkçe, Deutsch, Español, Français, Italiano, Português, 日本語, 한국어, 中文 and العربية. It follows your device's language, and a grown-up can change it in Parent Zone → Settings → Language.
